This Sword is necessary when harvesting souls. Without it the entitie can't be killed no matter what (besides commands of course), so watch out when stealing souls, because the enemy is stronger without it!
You can put every soul into a furnace and it spits out a normal soul that you can use in the soul sword
A one use Item that is made from creeper souls. You can detonate it when having it equipped. (Currently you don't get damage from it besides maybe falldamage. I am currently unsure if I should make it hurt you or not!)
The soul gauntlet is used for taking the souls of supported entities. If the entitie is not supported yet, it will just get damage by it. (It is used with the left mouse button because the villager wouldn't work that well!)
With an egg and every kind of soul (besides the converted one at the moment) you can craft a spawn egg of the original which can make farming and transporting different creatures way easier.
The soul stone is needed when you want to craft the soul gauntlet.

Steal the souls of different entities like Creepers and Villagers and use those souls to make Special Equipment like Bomb Vests and also the Spawn eggs of that entitie.
But if you steal the soul of something watch out for their soulless versions, these are stronger and will not despawn. You can only kill them with the Soul sword.
To steal the souls you need a Soul Gauntlet.
Is currently a very early version. Will make way more things than there is right now!
1.12.2 is the only version that'll work for now!
