The Soul Pickaxe mod adds a way to craft mob spawners in a somewhat vanilla approach. Use this mod in any modpack you make!
To start, you need to mine Raw Soul Iron from the Soul Sand Valley. Smelting the new ore will give you a Soul Iron Ingot. This is a new material used in the recipe for the mob spawner and the Soul Pickaxe.
To craft a Soul Pickaxe, you place 3 Soul Iron Ingots at the top and 2 Soul Sand in place of sticks. Breaking a spawner with the Soul Pickaxe will drop one Cursed Soul. You need 2 of these to craft a new spawner.
To craft a mob spawner, place 6 iron bars along the top and bottom, 1 Soul Ingot in the middle, and 2 Cursed Souls on the left and right slots. A mob spawner spawns pigs by default, but you can craft spawn eggs to change this. I only focused on making spawn eggs that give unique drops or spawn important mobs. Only around half of the spawn eggs have recipes.
I plan to make Soul Armor, which grants you immunity against the Wither effect.
