Sorry, Retired!

Sorry, Retired! is a Minecraft mod that allows Villagers that have been used plenty of times to retire and no longer offer trading.

How?

A Villager can only retire if it is at maximum level, Master.

By default, after reaching Master level, the Villager can only make 100 trades before retiring. However, this can be modified in the configuration file.

Players can also make Villagers retire manually by giving them (Shift + Right Click) a Golden Award, crafted with 8 Gold Nuggets and an Emerald in the middle.

Retired Villagers will abandon their job and forget their profession block, and won't try to claim a job either.

Once retired, a Villager cannot go back into the market.

Practical Uses

• Balancing Villager trading and forcing players to go through cycles of Villagers instead of being set for life after getting a good trade.

• Preventing Villagers from hanging around your house when using profession blocks for decoration.
