Sophisticated Side-by-Side

Backpack Side Layout

A small client-side addon for Sophisticated Backpacks that changes the backpack screen layout.

Instead of having the backpack grid stacked on top of your inventory, this mod places them side by side:

- The backpack grid sits on the left side of the screen, with the upgrade column right next to it.
- Your player inventory moves to the center of the screen, slightly lower.
- The backpack settings button stays attached to the right edge of the backpack grid.

This leaves the right side of the screen free for item lists like JEI, and makes big backpacks (gold, diamond, netherite) much more comfortable to use.

When you open the backpack settings, the player inventory is hidden (it's only a picture on that screen anyway), and the backpack grid is centered on the screen. The template save/load buttons move to the left of the grid.

  Notes

- Client-side only. It only changes screens, so it does not need to be installed on the server.
- Big backpacks that don't fit on the screen still use a scroll bar, just like in the original mod.
- Sophisticated Storage uses the same screens as Sophisticated Backpacks, so its chests and barrels will probably get the same layout, but this was mainly tested with backpacks.
