Somake Zombies
Somake Zombies transforms Minecraft into a more dynamic zombie survival experience with coordinated hordes, unique infected variants, sound-based detection, thirst mechanics, supply airdrops, and compatibility with popular survival mods.
Key Features
Zombie Hordes: Trigger groups of infected that spawn naturally around an area and advance toward nearby survivors.
Massive Swarms: Face coordinated swarms of up to 200 infected moving together as a large crowd while using performance-conscious AI.
Special Infected: Encounter Runners, Brutes, Stalkers, Screamers, Spitters, Crawlers, Bloated Infected, and Armored Infected, each with unique models, animations, attributes, and behavior.
Sound Detection: Zombies can investigate footsteps, sprinting, broken blocks, shattered glass, explosions, machinery, gunshots, voice chat, and airdrops.
Controlled Destruction: Hordes can break doors, windows, fences, and other fragile obstacles when navigation fails. Brutes can also breach selected wooden and weak stone structures.
Thirst System: Manage a dedicated thirst bar affected by activity, heat, swimming, fire, and other survival conditions.
Boiled Water: Heat a Water Bottle using the Refurbished Furniture Stove to produce safe Boiled Water with improved hydration.
Generator Threat: Powered Refurbished Furniture generators create continuous noise and accumulate regional threat, potentially attracting hordes and massive swarms.
Supply Airdrops: Administrators can create custom supply presets and deploy animated cargo balloons with red smoke, parachutes, and persistent supply crates.
Special Infected
Runner: A fast and fragile infected that can leap toward its target.
Brute: A large, powerful infected capable of knocking players back and breaching reinforced obstacles.
Stalker: An unsettling infected that slows down when observed and approaches when outside the player's view.
Screamer: Produces a powerful scream that alerts nearby infected and calls reinforcements.
Spitter: Launches toxic projectiles that create temporary contaminated areas.
Crawler: A low-profile infected capable of moving through one-block-high passages.
Bloated Infected: Explodes when killed, knocking back survivors and releasing a poisonous cloud.
Armored Infected: A former police or military unit protected by armor and a ballistic shield, taking significantly less damage from frontal attacks.
Mod Compatibility
- GeckoLib — Required
- Refurbished Furniture — Required
Somake Zombies integrates with the Refurbished Furniture electricity system:
- Powered generators produce noise.
- Larger electrical networks generate more threat.
- Prolonged generator activity can attract hordes.
- The Stove is used to produce Boiled Water.
- Nearby generators are grouped to avoid excessive server processing.
The Framework dependency required by Refurbished Furniture must also be installed.
Point Blank — Optional
When Point Blank is installed:
- Gunshots attract nearby infected.
- Suppressed weapons generate less noise.
- Automatic fire is grouped to reduce server impact.
- Failed shots and reload sounds do not attract zombies.
Plasmo Voice — Optional
When Plasmo Voice is installed:
- Zombies can hear players using proximity voice chat.
- Whispering produces less noise.
- Normal speech has a moderate detection range.
- Shouting attracts infected from farther away.
Performance-Conscious Systems
Somake Zombies is designed with multiplayer servers in mind:
- Swarm pathfinding is distributed across multiple ticks.
- The number of direct attackers adapts to server MSPT.
- Internal crowd collisions use a lightweight pressure system.
- Repeated noise events are grouped together.
- Voice packets are aggregated before producing noise.
- Generator networks are never rescanned by Somake Zombies.
- Airdrops do not use pathfinding or force chunks to load.
- Block breaching is controlled by a centralized manager.
- Special infected are limited inside hordes to avoid ability spam.
Survive the noise, manage your resources, defend your shelter, and prepare for the swarm with Somake Zombies.
