Sol's Relic System (Crit System, Stats, and more.)

Minecraft's equipment into a full-blown RPG artifact system. Every weapon and armor piece that enters your inventory becomes a Relic — a piece of equipment with randomized stats, an XP-based leveling system, crit mechanics, set bonuses, and much more.

Ascend Relic Rarity

A max-level relic can now be raised by one rarity at the Aster Table:

  • Resonance Core I: Common to Uncommon
  • Resonance Core II: Uncommon to Rare
  • Resonance Core III: Rare to Epic
  • Resonance Core IV: Epic to Legendary
  • Resonance Core V: Legendary to Mythical
  • Resonance Core VI: Mythical to Supreme

Place a max-level relic and its matching Resonance Core in the Aster Table, review the Current and After comparison, and confirm the ascension.

The item's normal rarity limit still applies. Items capped at Mythical cannot become Supreme, while fixed-rarity and specially controlled relics keep their intended progression.

What Ascension Does

  • Preserves the main-stat type.
  • Preserves every unlocked sub-stat type.
  • Never deletes or duplicates preserved stat types.
  • Resets the relic to Level 0 with zero experience.
  • Resets stat values to fresh base rolls for the new rarity.
  • Resets previous sub-stat upgrade rolls.
  • Allows the new rarity to provide additional starting sub-stats through its normal rules.

Ascended relics display Ascended I-VI and add (A1) through (A6) to their names.

How to Obtain Resonance Cores

All six Resonance Cores can be crafted through a Crafting Table progression using lower Resonance Cores and Aster Cores.

Resonance Core I and II can also drop from eligible hostile mobs killed by a player:

  • Resonance Core I: 0.8%
  • Resonance Core II: 0.5%

By default, eligible enemies include:

  • Zombies, Husks, and Drowned
  • Skeletons and Strays
  • Creepers
  • Spiders and Cave Spiders
  • Endermen and Endermites
  • Witches
  • Pillagers, Vindicators, Evokers, and Ravagers
  • Blazes, Ghasts, and Magma Cubes
  • Silverfish
  • Guardians and Elder Guardians
  • Phantoms
  • Shulkers
  • Piglin Brutes
  • Withers
  • Ender Dragons
  • Wardens on Minecraft versions where Wardens exist

Eligibility follows the same configurable mob list used for Aster Core drops. Server owners can add supported modded enemies or remove default enemies through aster_core_mobs.json.

Craftable Dust of Enlightenment

Dust of Enlightenment can now be crafted with eight Resonance Core V items surrounding one Feather:

Resonance Core V | Resonance Core V | Resonance Core V
Resonance Core V | Feather | Resonance Core V
Resonance Core V | Resonance Core V | Resonance Core V

Use Dust of Enlightenment at the Aster Table to reroll a relic's sub-stats.

New Advancements

New advancements now celebrate Resonance progression:

  • Obtain Dust of Enlightenment to unlock Fate, Rewritten.
  • Obtain Resonance Core I-VI to progress through the Resonance advancement chain.
  • Resonance Core IV, V, and VI have higher-impact advancement moments for major milestones.
  • Hold Resonance Core I, II, III, IV, V, and VI in your inventory at the same time to unlock Sixfold Sovereign.

Safety and Clarity

  • The ascension screen compares the relic's current and new level, main stat, sub-stats, and upgrade indicators.
  • Cancelling, reopening, reconnecting, or restarting cannot reroll the prepared ascension result.
  • Swapping the relic or core before confirmation safely cancels the operation.
  • Successful ascension consumes exactly one matching Resonance Core.
  • Non-maxed relics, wrong cores, rarity caps, and invalid inputs show clear error messages.

Mod Compatibility

  • Relic stats are restricted more reliably to weapons, armor, and supported relic equipment.
  • Modded battle axes and similar combat-focused items can receive Relic stats.
  • Pickarangs, paxels, drills, excavators, super tools, and similar utilities remain part of Sol's Item Rarity's Utility Perk system.
  • Existing relics, Aster Core leveling, and Dust rerolling remain compatible.

Requirement

Sol's Relic System v1.5 requires Sol's Item Rarity v1.7 or newer.
