Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Sol's Party System v1.3 - Minecraft 1.16.5
Ping marker overhaul
- Ping markers now match the modern 1.20.1+ presentation.
- Added a clear black outline and white center dot to every ping marker.
- Added the pinging player's name and the distance to the ping.
- Added directional edge indicators for pings that are behind you or outside the screen.
- Pings now render as stable screen overlays, preventing far-distance clipping and broken world-space text.
- Marker size now adapts to distance and GUI scale for consistent readability.
- Ping animations and expiration fading now apply to the complete marker and label.
- Pings now land on the exact block face you targeted instead of the block's top-center position.
Party member markers
- Party member markers now use the same modern screen-space rendering used by the latest port.
- Added solid circular rendering, a black outline, a white center, subtle pulsing, and distance-aware sizing.
- Improved marker alignment above players and visibility at long distances.
- Marker visibility preferences, offline status, and death status continue to be respected.
- Fixed party member markers remaining visible at stale Overworld coordinates after a teammate traveled to another dimension.
- Player markers are now only rendered when the viewer and that party member are in the same dimension.
- Unknown or not-yet-synchronized locations are safely hidden instead of being rendered in the wrong world.
Reliability and polish
- Hardened keyboard and mouse shortcut handling against invalid, canceled, or early input events.
- Prevented party shortcuts from running before the player, world, keybinds, or client configuration are ready.
- Corrected the documented default ping key from
ZtoX.
HUD improvements
- Expanded and reorganized party cards to give dimension information its own clear line.
- Long usernames are now shortened according to their actual on-screen pixel width.
- Player names, status labels, the
[You]tag, and level text no longer overlap or break the HUD layout. - Long modded-dimension names are also shortened cleanly while keeping the card aligned.
NEW: Dimension-aware parties
- The party HUD now shows the current dimension for you and every party member.
- Vanilla dimensions use clean names such as
Overworld,The Nether, andThe End. - Modded dimensions are supported automatically and display a readable name together with their mod namespace when space allows.
- Party member locations update immediately when a player changes dimension, with the regular live sync retained as a fallback.
