Utility Perk Fixes
- Vein Miner, Timber, and Excavation now activate only while sneaking. Normal mining remains unchanged when you are not sneaking.
- Vein Miner now works on stone and other connected matching blocks that the pickaxe can properly mine, including supported modded blocks.
- Excavation now works on dirt, sand, gravel, clay, snow, and other supported shovel blocks.
- Timber now finds connected matching vanilla and modded logs more reliably.
- Connected blocks use normal drops, consume durability, respect the perk's block limit, and work with Fortune and Silk Touch.
- Harvest Replant uses normal crop drops before replanting, preventing duplicated crops.
- Break Efficiency continues to stack with Minecraft's Efficiency enchantment.
- Durability Guard works with or without Unbreaking and now clearly states that it prevents durability loss.
- Higher perk tiers are less likely to appear below Supreme rarity.
Better Modded Item Support
- Battle axes, war axes, great axes, and similar combat-focused items are now treated as weapons instead of utility tools.
- Pickarangs, paxels, drills, excavators, super tools, lumber axes, spades, sickles, and similar utilities are detected more accurately.
- Modded weapons no longer receive Utility Perks simply because they use a tool-like item class.
- Utility tools no longer receive inappropriate weapon bonuses or Sol's Relic System stats.
- Vanilla axes remain utility tools.
Clearer Tooltips
- Utility Perks now explain how they activate and show their tier, chance, effect, and block or crop limit where relevant.
- Durability Guard now explains that it can prevent durability loss rather than increasing a tool's maximum durability.
- Connected perks clearly state that sneaking is required.
- The old default Mining Speed line no longer appears unless a server owner configured a custom Mining Speed bonus.
Excavation-Mod Compatibility
Server owners can set:
disableConnectedToolPerks = true
in solsitemrarity-common.toml to disable Vein Miner, Timber, and Excavation when another excavation mod handles connected breaking.
Break Efficiency and Durability Guard remain active with this option enabled. Existing custom Mining Speed settings also remain supported.
