SoloCraft: Dungeon Expansion

Adds 40 ranked dungeons with 206 custom creatures and 40 bosses to SoloCraft: Reawakening, integrated through its own gates, level scaling and mana crystals.

The System has an author, and he is still in the room

You have been using it since your first gate. It told you what to kill and it paid you when you did. Somewhere under a D-rank cave there is a door that was not on the map, and behind it is the thing that wrote the rules you have been following.

Kill it and the System is yours. The panel turns violet, and it stops being the same panel.

What is inside

  • 41 dungeons - six each at E, D, C and B, eight at A, nine at S
  • Three places that are not gates - the Double Dungeon under the world, Jeju Island, and the guild halls that build themselves near you
  • 219 creatures, each with its own model, textures and animations - 42 bosses, 17 mini-bosses, 44 elites
  • 1,990 animation clips across 492 room structures
  • 175 sounds, none of them borrowed
  • A 56-step campaign in nine chapters, from a nobody in an E-rank cave to the thing that wrote the System

The campaign is not a kill counter

Fifty-six steps, in order, each unlocked by the one before. Sixteen of them do not ask how many - they ask how:

  • Clear an A-rank gate without calling a single shadow
  • Cut six mana crystals out of one dungeon, which means searching its rooms instead of walking to the boss
  • Two minutes on Jeju with the King awake, still standing at the end
  • Walk into a gate the White Tigers had booked, and wear what that costs
  • A whole dungeon cleared by your army while you never land a blow

Each step pays System points and one skill point. Fifty-six exist in the world. There is no way to grind more.

Five skills, five levels, and not enough points

Vitality, Ferocity, Haste, Dominion and Fortune. Dominion is read at the moment you raise a shadow, so it makes the army better rather than its owner; Fortune is read when you cut a crystal. The cost rises with the level, and the whole ladder costs more than the whole campaign pays - so you finish it having left something out.

They touch none of SoloCraft's stats. Two mods writing the same value every tick is a fight the player loses.

The System changes hands

Beat the Architect in the Double Dungeon and the addon's own System replaces SoloCraft's, for you alone. Everyone else on the server keeps the blue one and never learns there is another. Before that, the key does nothing at all - silently, because a System that announces itself to somebody who has not earned it is not a secret.

The important moments are private too. Taking the authority, raising your first shadow, climbing a rung of the ladder: a spiral that closes over your head, sent to one connection. Anybody standing next to you sees a hunter go still for two seconds.

The guilds have opinions

Five of them, and about a third of the gates in the world are already booked when you find them. Nothing stops you walking in. Their standing drops when you do, and when it runs out their hunters stop turning up to help - and eventually arrive pointed at you.

The Hunters Association posts one directive a day for the whole server, and it is the only thing that repairs a reputation. Guild halls build themselves near hunters and take on more staff over an evening or two.

Jeju Island

It falls when a Beru gate ruptures, and only then. One island, ever - a second rupture leaves it alone. The volcano is hollow: a vent down from the crater with a spiral ramp, three rings of galleries, rooms off them, and a nest at the bottom breeding a colony that fights at the island's level and cannot be ground down while the King lives.

Kill him, take the island back, and once nobody is left on it the sea gets it back until the next rupture.

Red Gate dungeons

Five of the forty-one: Blood Moon Forest, The Abyssal Prison, Infernal Warzone, the Storm Highway and the Throne of the Fallen Monarch. Their gates render red and everything inside carries a modifier that changes a decision rather than a number - whether you can still outrun the room, whether standing still is safe, whether a wounded thing is finished.

The Storm Highway is a road through a forest with a storm that closes in over you while its creatures are near, and breaks when the last one falls.

Aetheryn, the Fallen Sovereign, and the Architect are original creatures written for this addon. Neither is a character from the series.

Crystals, runes and artifacts

Mana crystals are grown into dungeon walls and cut out by hand - two seconds of holding still, interruptible, which matters because the sensible moment to stop is when something walks in. Seven runes come out of them and out of bosses. Four artifact sets pay for carrying pieces of the same set at once, with no slots and no screen: they work out of your bag.

It runs on SoloCraft's systems, not beside them

Gates spawn on their own. Levels, nameplates and scaling are SoloCraft's. Rewards are mana crystals, the currency its shop and upgrades already use. Kills grant hunter XP and your shadows level from the same number. Arise works on all 219 creatures, bosses included, and shadows you raise are filed in SoloCraft's own roster so their healing, dismissal and summon screen all see them.

Requires

  • Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.244 or newer
  • SoloCraft: Reawakening 1.3.x
  • GeckoLib 4.9.2 or newer

Configuration

42 game rules, on top of config/slrdungeons-common.toml. Every system can be turned off on its own: dungeon breaks, guild claims, Jeju, the private scenes, the skill ladder, the boss endings, mana crystals. Health and damage multipliers, drop rates and Red Gate modifiers are all in the config.

What this is not

This addon contains no SoloCraft code and no SoloCraft assets - the jar has zero entries from their namespace. It requires the mod; it does not redistribute it.

English only for now.
