SNEK AUTHENTIC COMMUNISM

Everything belongs to everyone: An item or tool can only be used if every online player owns it in their inventory.(Blocks,Tools,Food, Exceptions read below)

Crafting Rules: All players must have the required ingredients in their inventory. Upon crafting, these ingredients are consumed. The crafter is responsible for crafting for the entire group and distributing the items or tools evenly before time expires; failure to do so will result in punishment by the authorities.

INSTALLATION

Requirements: Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge server (Forge 47.x) with Java 17.

Stop the server.
Insert the .jar file into the Mods folder in the server Panel
Start the server.

Players do not need to install anything.

IMPORTANT BEFORE STARTING

After every join and respawn, a 10-minute grace period applies.
If all players have just joined, everything is unrestricted during this period.
Anyone who leaves the game while having an active delivery will kill everyone after 60 seconds.
This also applies to crashes and internet disconnections.
The mod can be paused if something goes wrong (see below).

IN-GAME RULES

Press Sneak + F or use `/rules` to open the rulebook.

The rulebook opens automatically when a player joins for the first time.

All rules are also available in rules.md.

COMMANDS

Available to all players:

/rules             Open the rulebook

/snek status        Active players, deliveries, debts

/snek vault         View the contents of the vault

/snek depts      View outstanding debts

/beg <player>    Perform a debt forgiveness ritual

Available to server operators (OPs):

/snek pause         Disable or re-enable the mod

/snek reset         End deliveries, debts, and countdowns

/snek reset vault   Empty the vault

SETTINGS

After the first startup, the following file will be created:

world/serverconfig/snek_communism-server.toml

This file contains all timers, penalty damage, and item exceptions.

ruleExemptItems lists shared blocks that are exempt from the rule:

Everyone can place and use them, and crafting works without delivery.

By default, these include beds, crafting tables, furnaces, chests, barrels, and all stations.

Entries can be item IDs or tags, for example:

ruleExemptItems = ["minecraft:torch", "#minecraft:beds"]

Changes take effect after restarting the server.
