Smelter Triage
Find the furnaces that need attention without opening every furnace in the room. /smeltertriage scan counts empty, working, invalid-input, needs-fuel and output-blocked vanilla furnaces, blast furnaces and smokers, then lists the nearest eight actionable positions and reasons.
Features
- Uses actual cooking recipes and output stack data, not a hardcoded ore list.
- Radius 4–16, default 8; current dimension and loaded chunks only.
- Marks partial results when chunks are unavailable.
- Read-only: no item movement, refueling, cooking-tick changes or chunk loading.
- Operator permission level 2 and a five-second per-player cooldown protect inventory privacy and bound repeat scans.
Usage
/smeltertriage scan [4..16]
In single-player, enable cheats. Working means burning or ready with fuel, not measured progress or an estimated finish time. This is not hopper diagnosis, modded-machine support or claim/protection integration. Forge 1.20.1 and newer NeoForge output matching follow their respective vanilla furnace rules.
Installation
Install on the server, or in the single-player mods folder, then restart. Choose exactly one matching build: Forge 1.20.1 / Java 17; NeoForge 1.21.1 / Java 21; NeoForge 26.3 / Java 25. No third-party mod dependencies or custom client interface.
Beta notice
This mod is new and not fully bug-proof. Core logic and exact-JAR installed-server functional tests passed; graphical client testing is incomplete. Back up your worlds and report problems in comments with Minecraft and loader versions.
