smartphone-2.9.1.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
The phone in the world
- Screen in your hand: you now see the front of your phone, with a lock screen: time, date, your latest notifications and navigation (name and distance). Other players see your screen light up while you use your phone.
- Poses: using the phone raises your arm and tilts your head to the screen; with the camera you hold it up with both hands (only when the phone is actually in your hand).
- Walk mode: hold P inside the phone (or tap Walk in the Control Center). The phone shrinks to the bottom-right corner and stays live (map, chat, navigation) while you walk, build or do parkour. Tap P to make it big again, hold P to put it away.
- Flash: photos with the flash on flash for players nearby, with a shutter sound; look at the photographer and you're briefly dazzled. Toggle it with ↑ in the camera.
Video
- In the camera, switch between photo and video with ←/→. Click to start and stop recording (up to 15 seconds).
- Videos appear at the top of Photos, are saved as .mp4 in
.minecraft/screenshots/smartphone/, and can be shared in chats (+ → Video). Play, pause and save any video as MP4. - Server config:
maxVideosPerPlayer(default 10, 0 turns video sharing off).
Fixes
- Players with a different version now get a clear "install version X" message instead of Fabric's "unknown registry entries" error.
- The home screen now fits small screens and high GUI scales (the dock no longer covers the apps).
- Turning a CCTV camera by dragging the mouse is smooth again.
- The jar is 8 MB smaller: only the SQLite libraries for Windows, macOS and Linux are included.
Technical
- Database schema 8 (migrated automatically), network protocol 10. Server and clients must both run 2.9.1.
