Slender Man: Origin

A familiar nightmare from Minecraft's early days returns.

Slender Man: Origin is an unofficial port of Colossali's classic Slender Man mod from Minecraft 1.7.2 to Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge. It brings back the original experience for players who remember the mod—and those discovering it for the first time.

The Classic Experience

Encounter the Slender Man, discover his shrines and face the unsettling effects of his presence. Looking at him can cause screen static and disorientation, while looking away gives him an opportunity to move closer.

The port preserves the original mod's identity, including its models, textures, sounds, behavior, items and atmosphere.

What Has Changed?

This version adapts the original mod to Minecraft 1.20.1 and the modern Forge environment.

Changes focus on compatibility and technical fixes, including issues affecting rendering, resource loading and gameplay systems. The goal is to preserve the original experience rather than introduce a redesign or a new interpretation of the mod.

Requirements and Installation

Place the mod's JAR file in your Minecraft instance's mods folder. For multiplayer, install the mod on both the server and each player's client.
