What's new

  • New: a look-at plate. Point the crosshair at a mob or a player within reach and a small plate beside the crosshair shows the mob itself, its name, its health as a bar with the number, its armour, and where it applies a "Baby" mark, the owner of a tamed animal, a villager's level, a horse's speed and jump, its status effects. It keeps off the crosshair and the mob's head, follows the Slate and the Vanilla style, and hides with the HUD (F1), with a screen open and in spectator mode. On by default, with a switch for the plate and for every line (Options > Slate UI; with Slate Config: Options > Interface > Look-at plate). While Jade, WTHIT, The One Probe or Insight is installed it stands back, unless "Leave it to other mods" is switched off (suggested by Ianu Reeves).
  • Creative inventory: the tabs can be put in your own order. Drag a tab of the list to another place (the list makes room for it as you go); the order is kept, tabs of mods added later come after it, and a right click on the list (or Options > Slate UI > Creative inventory) puts the game's order back (suggested by Starcage).
  • Pause menu and statistics screen (Overhaul layout): what you ride is drawn with you. On a horse, in a boat or a minecart, on a pig, a strider, a camel or another mod's mount the player sat in the air; now the mount is under them, with whoever rides along (reported by Starcage).
  • Main menu: the first click after leaving a world works again. After "Save and Quit to Title" (or "Title Screen" on the respawn screen) the first click on Profile, Play, Options, Friends, Continue or Quit did nothing (reported by Starcage).
  • A menu's background picture can be an animated GIF, a JPEG, BMP or TIFF as well as a PNG (in Slate Core; suggested by Iammaliikk).

Slate modules need the Slate Core of their own version: update all of them together.
