SkyStone: Classic

SkyStone is a content mod that brings the mysteries of the cosmos right into your survival world. The core of the mod revolves around discovering asteroid deposits and fallen meteorites. You can spot massive impact craters right on the surface, but the search doesn't stop there. These cosmic riches also generate underground between Y levels 30 and 50, as well as resting deep on ocean floors or buried right beneath them. If luck is on your side, you might stumble upon massive veins containing dozens of meteorite ore blocks alongside Sky stone.

Sky stone itself is a versatile material used for aesthetics and utility alike. Beyond basic entry-tier stone tools and beautiful decorative blocks, you can craft a unique Sky Stone Furnace. Handcrafted using five smooth Sky stone blocks and three Sky stone brick slabs, this furnace breaks vanilla limits by allowing all of its slots to hold up to 96 items. It smelts items half a time faster, yields slightly more experience per smelted item, and features a completely unique texture accompanied by ambient particles.

Refining the ore gives you meteorite iron, an aesthetic tier of gear that sits comfortably between standard iron and diamond. While these tools are tough, they are exceptionally easy to enchant, just like the corresponding armor set. Crafting these tools requires a unique approach hinted at by their textures, as you will need to swap out traditional wooden sticks for meteorite iron nuggets. Wearing a full set of this armor grants incredible protection against gravity by suppressing the vast majority of fall damage. You can easily survive a plunge from 100 blocks high, making steep cliffs and Ender Dragon fights far less terrifying. For extra defense, you can combine vanilla iron with a meteorite iron ingot to craft a high-durability Meteorite Iron Shield.

The mod also expands on specialized utility blocks and mechanics. The Meteorite Iron Anvil is incredibly durable, boasting twice the resistance to breaking compared to a normal anvil. On the flip side, you can craft a Golden Anvil which is twice as fragile as a standard one, but offers a welcome discount on the experience points required for repairing and enchanting your gear. There is also a unique Meteorite Iron Pressure Plate, which remains completely unactivated unless a player or mob steps on it while specifically wearing a pair of meteorite iron boots.

If you need home defense, you can construct the powerful Meteorite Iron Golem. This cosmic guardian features twice the health of a normal iron golem and hits significantly harder. It naturally hunts down creepers and will instantly obliterate them in a single strike, meaning creepers will no longer be a worry around your base. If your golem gets damaged in battle, you can manually heal it. A regular iron ingot restores 25 health points, while a meteorite iron ingot patches it up for a massive 50 health points.

To make the mod accessible to everyone, it features comprehensive language support. SkyStone is fully translated and available in over twenty languages within Minecraft, including Classical Latin, Esperanto, and Toki Pona.

There is plenty of other content packed into the mod, like gold bars, meteorite buckets, and gold buckets capable of holding all vanilla fish variants, but those smaller surprises are best left for you to discover on your own during your survival journey.

Please note that running the Fabric version requires the corresponding Fabric API, and it is highly recommended to pair this mod with Sodium to ensure the custom world generation and particle effects render beautifully and smoothly. While initially built for 1.16.5, this mod is developed with future porting in mind, and support for newer Minecraft versions as well as alternative mod loaders like Forge is planned for the future.
