BlueMap Unlocked: Sky’s Map Exposer

Download: skysmapexposer-1.8.0+26.2.jar below. Put it in your mods folder, replacing any older version.

Needs Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin and Xaero's World Map (1.44+). Xaero's Minimap and Mod Menu are recommended.

What's new

• Share biomes with a player. Drag over some chunks on the world map, choose Share biomes… and pick a player who has the mod. They get which biome is where, at Minecraft's own 4×4-block detail, by private message, hidden from both chats. Picked biomes are tinted there on their map, and the world map names the biome under the mouse where their own map has none.
• Share waypoints. Share waypoints… on the world map's menu: tick some waypoints, pick a player, and an [Add waypoints] button adds them to theirs.
• Save terrain to a file. Save terrain file saves every block of your map in the chunks you dragged over to a .smemap file in the shared maps folder. Whoever gets it drops it onto their game window and adds it to unexplored chunks only, or everywhere. Each region is backed up first.
• Seasons. /mapexposer season set <yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm> sets when the season began for the dimension the map shows. Your map from before then counts as unexplored for downloads and shared maps, and is left out of what you share.
• Clear old season / Clear past border. Right-click the world map to take your old-season map, or everything beyond the world border, off your map. The border is the one BlueMap draws (a round one works), or else the game's own; /mapexposer clear border <radius> [<centerX> <centerZ>] for any other. It asks first, backs up every region, and ends with a [Restore] button.
• Easier restore. /mapexposer restore on its own puts back the newest backup, and Tab lists the backup names. Restored regions show as soon as you zoom in on them, without a restart.
• The Nether's cave layer. Sharing, saving and clearing work on the layer the world map is showing, so a Nether map is the inside, not the roof.
• Smoother. Reading and writing your map is spread over several frames, and saving files happens in the background, so the game keeps its frame rate.
• Experimental settings tab, with Share through spam warnings (off unless you turn it on).
