SkipEmpty

Scroll past the empty slots.

SkipEmpty is a tiny client-side quality-of-life mod that makes hotbar scrolling skip over empty slots.

Normally, if your hotbar looks like this:

Sword → Empty → Empty → Pickaxe → Empty → Food

you have to scroll through every empty slot to reach the next item.

With SkipEmpty:

Sword → Pickaxe → Food → Sword

That's it.

Features

• Automatically skips empty hotbar slots when scrolling.
• Works in both scroll directions.
• Wraps around the ends of the hotbar normally.
• Leaves number-key selection completely unchanged.
• Does not affect Pick Block or other direct slot changes.
• Does not interfere with scrolling in menus or inventories.
• Client-side only.
• No configuration required.
• No extra keybinds.
• No menus.
• No unnecessary features.

If there is only one occupied hotbar slot, scrolling simply keeps you on it. If the entire hotbar is empty, SkipEmpty leaves vanilla behaviour alone.
