Highlights

  • Community uploads: Unmodified default Steve and Alex starter skins can no longer be shared to Community, to cut down on duplicate default-skin uploads.
  • Starter skins: The mod ships the same Steve and Alex PNGs it seeds into the skins folder (for new installs), matching the files used for that upload check.
  • Custom skins: Fixes missing / magenta-black skin when applying a custom skin on 1.21.11.
  • Capes: The Capes are temporarily disabled, they will be back in future releases.

Compatibility

  • Requires Fabric API for Minecraft 1.21.11 (e.g. 0.141.3+1.21.11 or compatible).
  • Requires Fabric Loader 0.19.2 or newer.

Install

  • Use Minecraft 1.21.11 with Fabric. Add Fabric API (matching this MC version) and skincraft-1.3.3.jar to your mods folder.
  • New to Fabric? fabricmc.net/use — choose the same Minecraft version as this release.

Online disclosure

  • Community Skins is an online feature and connects to the SkinCraft community service.
  • When you share a skin, the name, category, and any tags or description you enter are uploaded together with your Minecraft name and UUID so other players can see who uploaded it.
  • Local mode keeps working even if the community service is unavailable.
