Keybinds stored from mod XYZ are persisted even if (e.g.) new keybinds from a modpack without mod XYZ are uploaded.
Keybinds stored from mod XYZ are overwritten upon saving if the mod is installed and the keys are bound
Keybinds stored from mod XYZ are removed upon saving if the mod is installed and the keys aren't bound
