New
- Awakened guardian rematches. The Echo Sentinel and the Gravity Remnant can now be refought after the endgame, like the Horizon Warden.
- Make an Awakened Echo Core (H-Condensate 1, Sentinel Projection Core 1, Echo Shard 2) or an Awakened Gravity Core (H-Condensate 1, Degenerate Nucleus 1, Exotic Matter 2) in the Singularity Encapsulator.
- Use it on the guardian core in the floor of the Research Building or Culture Facility boss room. It works even when the vault is open.
- Awakened guardians have 2.5× health and deal 1.5× damage (
awakenedGuardianHealthMultiplier, awakenedGuardianDamageMultiplier). They also act 25% faster and become enraged at 65% health. - The Awakened Echo Sentinel fires one more bolt and calls one more echo. When it becomes enraged it re-projects up to two broken projectors, once per fight.
- The Awakened Gravity Remnant fires one more piece of debris and has a wider, stronger gravity well (12 blocks). Once enraged, it can follow a slam with a second one.
- Rewards come on top of the normal drops:
- Echo Sentinel: 1 Overclock Chip, 2 Sentinel Projection Cores, 2 Crystal Memories.
- Gravity Remnant: 1 Overclock Chip, 2 Degenerate Nuclei, 4 Exotic Matter.
- Leave the room and the core is returned on top of the guardian core.
- New stage 5 ruin: Sunken Reactor Sector. A spherical containment chamber deep underground where a second Penrose reactor died. Tune the explorer compass at a cleared Final Lab cache to find it. Its cache gives exotic matter, jet condensate, H-Condensate, crystal memories and sometimes an overclock chip.
- New boss: Ergosphere Leviathan. A long serpent (head plus 12 body segments) that lives in the dead core. It has three forms and changes at 2/3 and 1/3 health, staying invulnerable while it transforms.
- Emergence: a vortex opens and a small serpent crawls out and swims around. Moments later colossal jaws burst from the floor beneath it, swallow it whole and spiral up into the room.
- Its wake drags you along its path, and the glowing tail core is always a weak point (×1.6).
- Armored form: reactor-plate scales and an armored body (×0.6). Dives through a marked spot, breathes a vortex beam after pulling you in, lashes anyone near its tail.
- Skeleton form: it blasts its scales away and becomes a skeleton of light that takes full damage. It coils in the middle of the room, dragging you around while firing light shards, bites at close range and chains its dives.
- Wyrm form: it dives into the vortex and erupts as a black wyrm with wings of accretion, light horns and a singularity tail. Relativistic jets sweep from its horns, it rains small black holes from above, and its dives leave singularities behind.
- Death: it writhes, crumbles from the tail and sinks in a spiral into the vortex, which collapses in a flash.
- 1,600 health (
leviathanHealth). Drops a Chapter of the Vortex, exotic matter and H-Condensate. An awakened rematch uses the new Awakened Ergosphere Core.
- Bosses scale with the number of challengers. Every boss (including the Horizon Warden and the Last Archivist) counts the players in its arena:
- Each extra player adds half of the boss's health (
bossHealthPerPlayer). - Each extra player shortens the boss's attack gaps a little, down to 0.6× (
bossPacePerPlayer). - Up to six players count (
bossMaxScaledPlayers). - When someone joins mid-fight the health fraction is kept, and the boss never weakens when players leave.
- Bosses track the post-hit invulnerability per player, so every challenger's attacks land. Each player still gets the usual half-second window. Before, the whole party shared one window, and big groups dealt barely more damage than a solo player.
- Drops and awakened rewards come once per challenger (
bossLootPerPlayer), so everyone can collect their own chapters. The reward count is fixed when the fight begins (when the boss finishes emerging). Players who join later make the boss tougher but do not add rewards. - The Last Archivist only counts players inside its force field. Players waiting outside do not scale the boss, and if everyone inside falls the fight resets.
- The boss bar shows the challenger count.
- Each extra player adds half of the boss's health (
- Awakened guardians look different.
- Echo Sentinel: a crimson crown, a large double halo, wings of light and burning blades.
- Gravity Remnant: glowing seams on its shell, a ring of crying obsidian and light spikes.
- Horizon Warden: an outer halo with rays, light horns and six violet wings.
- Ergosphere Leviathan: dorsal fins of light and crimson eyes.
- Hidden boss: The Last Archivist. Awakened guardians now drop chapters of records (Echoes, Weight, Horizon; the leviathan drops the Vortex). Bind all four into a Terminus Record and use it on the Final Lab's seal console.
- A divine figure in an ivory robe with a golden halo and six wings of light, whose head is an event horizon and whose hem dissolves into an accretion veil.
- Revelation: judgment beams from the halo and falling singularities. Recollection (below 2/3): it recites the guardians' techniques. Ending (below 1/3): the halo turns black, its singularity pulls you in and it releases a nova that only the eye at its feet escapes.
- The fight is sealed: a force field closes the chamber until it ends, gaps in the floor are filled with a hologram floor (restored afterwards), and a gravity tide lifts everyone into low gravity. Thrown black hole bombs are swallowed by its singularity and heal it.
- Full emergence and death sequences, with lines of dialogue. 2,400 health (
archivistHealth). Drops the Archivist's Halo, unlocks the final record and drops the Afterglow Wings.
- Afterglow Wings (chest): glide like an elytra, sneak while gliding to beat the wings and surge ahead, no fall damage, armor like a diamond chestplate and no durability loss.
- New boss sounds, including ambient sounds for the Leviathan, the Last Archivist and the Horizon Warden. Security drones and the Echo Sentinel hit slightly softer.
- Endgame goal: the Genesis Engine. The old civilization turned all mass into energy and perished. The Genesis Engine does the reverse: it makes a universe from energy.
- Build: a Genesis Core surrounded by 8 Genesis Frames (three blocks out on each axis and two-and-two on the diagonals; one recipe makes 2) and 12 Genesis Pylons (three high on each diagonal frame). The Holo Projector, the Builder Wand,
/singulo buildand JEI's multiblock page support it. - Use the core empty-handed to open its screen: stage, a live view of the proto-universe, progress and instability, the feed switch, the item to make and the output slot.
- Ignite it with a Primordial Seed, which needs a Chapter of the Vortex.
- Kindling: pour in 1.5 TFE, at most 1 GFE per tick (
genesisSeedEnergy, genesisMaxInput). - Stabilizing: hold 100 MFE/t for about four minutes of active progress (
genesisUpkeep). Progress pauses while the feed is stopped or power runs short.- Surge alarms come now and then, with a 4-second warning. Stop the feed while the alarm lasts, either by using the core empty-handed or by giving it a redstone signal. If you keep feeding, instability spikes, and at 100% the proto-universe collapses and loses progress.
- Stopping the feed is not a full shutdown: upkeep still drains the buffer and events still happen. The feed switch's tooltip says so.
- Gravity leaks, echoes and gravity waves also appear. A shield softens surges and events, and a T-Cylinder field speeds things up.
- Birth: a 30-second cinematic.
- The light collapses into a point, silence, a flash, and then a galaxy unfurls and rises into the sky.
- Your galaxy then appears in the overworld night sky for every player, and a short epilogue plays (
genesisEndingScreen). - Two new records are unlocked, one of them only for those who laid the Last Archivist to rest.
- Afterwards the engine performs mass synthesis. Put the item you want in the frame on the screen (or use it on the core).
- The default table has 190 entries (157 items and 33 tags): stone and wood, crops, ores and metals, gems, treasure and a few legendary items.
- Cost per item = mass × 1 GFE × 10^rarity, with rarity 0 (stone) to 4 (nether star, elytra, dragon egg). Rarer items are orders of magnitude more expensive. Consumables (dragon's breath, enchanted golden apples) are rarity 3.
- The engine makes the plain item: enchantments, names, damage and contents of the sample are not copied.
- Base cost:
genesisBaseCost. The list of items can be changed by datapack (data/<ns>/mass_synthesis/). - A core that has given birth keeps its memory (stage, galaxy, chosen item) when broken and placed again. Stored power and partial progress are not kept.
- The cost per unit of mass is always higher than what a P-Reactor extracts from that mass, so there is no energy loop. This also holds after crafting: logs and pumpkins are priced by what they craft into (4 planks, 4 seeds). A GameTest walks every registered recipe to check this.
- Build: a Genesis Core surrounded by 8 Genesis Frames (three blocks out on each axis and two-and-two on the diagonals; one recipe makes 2) and 12 Genesis Pylons (three high on each diagonal frame). The Holo Projector, the Builder Wand,
- New advancements: The Cradle, The First Page, Something from Nothing.
- New advancements: Echoes That Linger, Memory of Weight, The Sunken Reactor, It Swims the Ergosphere, The Vortex Wakes, and a hidden one.
- Genesis Engine sounds (12, with variations for the pulse and synthesis).
Changes
- Japanese text reviewed throughout. Records and chat messages read more naturally, outdated guide pages were updated, and a few overly dramatic lines were toned down.
- Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Korean were reviewed against the Japanese. Many machine-translation errors in names, terms and lore were fixed.
- The English T-Cylinder description now says radius 16, matching the game.
Fixes
- The Horizon Warden kept its toughness only at default settings: with very high
wardenHealth(or many challengers), saving and reloading the world made it much weaker. Saved toughness is now kept as is.
