Description
This mod is mainly made for map-makers or server owners who wants to add a simple radiation system in their world.
The radiation emitter block
The radiation emitter block is not accessible in survival, acting just like the light block
Perhaps in Creative mod you will be able to adjust the radiations it produces with 4 layers (optionnal)
The Layers will always be auto-sorted from the highest Sivert to the lowest
You can choose the Sivert, the range of the radiations, and adjust the negative and positive height of the radius. And you can show the zone to have a visual idea of the radiations
A single emitter can work up to 2048 blocks radius !
Hazmat suits
Im planning to add hazmats in the future in the mod
In the config files you can add whatever armor you want to be either a partial protection hazmat suit, or a total protection hazmat suit
Partial protection hazmat will start taking 1 durability damage/second at 1 Sv/h and the damages will grow x1.05 times for every Sv/h higher. At 20 Sv/h, the hazmat is no longer radiation proof, you will get the Radiation effects
Total protection hazmat works the same but will start taking damage at 15 Sv/h
You can also decide what item can be a medicine item so it's suitable with other mods !
By default at the moment : LesRaisins amor, Marbleds arsenal, Survival Instinct, and Survivor's Arsenal have their hazmat suits working in Simply Radiations
Radiations effects
- < 1 Sv/h : Nothing dangerous
- 1-2 Sv/h : Radiation I (Mining fatigue & Slowness)
- 2-6 Sv/h : Radiation II (+Nausea & +Hunger)
- 6-20 Sv/h : Radiation III (+Hunger IV & + Little damage)
- >= 20 Sv/h : Radiation IV (+Blindness & Heavy damage)
Getting out of the radiation zone after being infected does not cure you, you will in fact loose 0.005 Sv/s in a safe zone but some medicines are provided to cure the radiations quicker
Geiger counter
The geiger counter takes energy to work, you can disable it in the config file
When turned on, it will show you the Sv/h on the player position, when you take it off hand but still turned on, you still will be able to see its statistics on top of the hotbar. You can turn it off in the config as well if you want the stats to be only showing on the Geiger counter screen.
Commands
- /radiation get <player> : show the player's contamination + Sv/h field he's in
- /radiation set/add/remove <player> <value>
- /radiation clear <player>
- /radiation global_radiation : will set the default radiation in your world, by default : 0,10 µSv/h
