What's new

Simple Weight 0.5.0-beta

Fixes

  • Swimming while overencumbered: players over the swim limit can no longer swim up. Before, they still rose slowly and could stay afloat at the surface. Now they sink and have to walk out. Wading out of shallow water and climbing onto a bank still works.
  • Display precision: new display config with a unit and 0-4 decimal places, e.g. "display": { "unit": "kg", "decimals": 2 } shows 0.05 kg. It applies to tooltips, the HUD (the box widens to fit) and /weight check.
  • Quivers in Curios slots: arrows inside a Supplementaries quiver now count, including when the quiver is worn in a Curios slot.

New

  • Global weight multiplier without a datapack: globalWeightMultiplier in config/tharidia_simpleweight-server.toml (default 1.0) makes everything lighter (below 1) or heavier (above 1). It is synced to clients and applied live when the file is edited.
  • Backpacks: Sophisticated Backpacks and L2 Backpack contents are counted (tested in game), including backpacks inside backpacks. The HUD now shows the weight computed by the server, so Sophisticated Backpacks contents show up there too.
  • default_item_weight: the weight of every item not listed in item_weights (default 1.0).
  • Block tags in item_weights: if no item tag with that id exists, a block tag is used, e.g. #minecraft:mineable/pickaxe. Item tags with / (e.g. #c:ingots/iron) work as before.
  • Carry On: a carried block counts, together with its contents (e.g. a chest full of items), and so does a carried entity.
  • Simply Tents: a packed tent counts the blocks, container contents and entities packed inside it.
  • Shulker box and bundle contents are counted.
  • entity_weights (ids or # tags) and default_entity_weight (default 0) set the weight of carried or packed entities.
  • /weight check [player] (OP) shows a player's carried weight and status.
  • Tooltips show the stack total and the weight of a container's contents.

Other

  • The HUD no longer recalculates the full weight every frame.
  • Removed unused bundled libraries from the jar (MySQL, HikariCP, JLayer, VLCJ).
  • All mod integrations are optional; none of these mods is required.
