Simple Respawn is a Fabric mod focused on configurable lives and respawning, letting server owners shape how costly death is and giving players ways to help each other get back into the game.
Overview:
You're playing on a server with friends, and the stakes are high with limited lives. Suddenly, a message appears in chat: "Dennis was slain by a zombie." Since they've run out of lives, they are now stuck in spectator mode. What should you do?
It's simple! With Simple Respawn, you can sacrifice a Totem of Undying(Or any other item you configured) to bring your eliminated friend back into the game.
How to revive a player:
-
Ensure the conditions are met: You must be alive with at least one life, and the target player must be online, eliminated, and in spectator mode.
-
Hold the revive item: Have the required number of the configured revive item (default is 1 Totem of Undying) in your main hand.
-
Use the command: Run
/revive <player>to sacrifice the item and bring your friend back with one life. -
Respawn: The revived player will be restored to their pre-elimination gamemode (or survival if none is available) and respawned at their bed, respawn anchor, or world spawn.
Features & Configuration
- Configurable Lives: Players start with a configurable
maxLivessetting (default is 1). Dying consumes a life, and reaching zero puts the player into spectator mode. - Timed Life Regeneration: Optionally configure
