Changelog
0.1.3-21.1.248 — 2026-10-23
For Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge 21.1.248. Includes the LC-R3 chunk-loading safeguards, previously packaged for validation as 0.1.2-21.1.248.
Fixed
- Reject invalid positions, NaN, infinite values, and chunk-loading requests outside world bounds before they reach terrain generation.
- Predict chunk-loading targets using bounded movement instead of raw locomotive velocity, preventing requests for distant chunks caused by abnormal velocity values.
- Validate the entire requested chunk set before adding tickets, and exclude buffer chunks outside world bounds.
- Stop the train and clear its velocity when invalid locomotive or carriage data is detected. Keep it paused for at least the current tick and allow it to restart once inputs are valid.
- Reject discontinuous carriage movement targets to prevent long-distance teleportation caused by invalid routes.
- Rebuild train chunk coverage from valid last-known actual positions after a restart instead of replaying saved chunk requests. Suspend automatic restoration when no valid locomotive position is available, while preserving train identities.
Diagnostics and Compatibility
- Add diagnostic logs containing the train UUID, dimension, position, velocity, rejection reason, and ticket counts. Rate-limit repeated warnings and log recovery events.
- Retain the Schema 1 save format, player-independent chunk loading for valid trains, and existing ticket cleanup behavior.
- The LC-R3 implementation passed 7,002 assertions in tests outside the game runtime. Independent code review and in-game acceptance testing are pending. The original source of the abnormal values in the reported incident remains under investigation.
Back up your world before upgrading and replace the previous Simple Rail JAR with a single copy of this version.
