[v1.0.8 is now out! Fixing multiple bugs that you all reported and adding /give and /orbitalstrike give commands to allow server owners to use signs and other means to give orbital strikes to others, plus other features mentioned below. Thanks for being patient!]

Simple Orbital Strike

Call in orbital strikes from a rod. Two types.

Nuke Shot drops one huge blast. Fused TNT spawns high above the target and falls.

Stab Shot rains a column of explosions straight down onto the block you point at.

Right click to fire. Range is 200 blocks. Each rod has multiple uses before it breaks. Fully configurable.

How to get one

Craft it. Fishing rod in the center, TNT around it, 32 TNT per slot by default.

• Nuke Shot needs a full ring of TNT, 8 slots
• Stab Shot needs 4 TNT in a plus shape

Or use the command if you have op:

• /orbitalstrike nuke and /orbitalstrike stab hand one to yourself
• /orbitalstrike give <player> [nuke_shot or stab_shot] [count] hands one to somebody else. Works from command blocks and signs.

Config

Everything is tunable.

• Nuke radius, fuse time, spawn height, velocity multiplier
• Stab explosion power and whether it breaks blocks
• Rod uses per craft and visible durability bar if you use a mod that doesn't allow you to use 1 durability items.
• TNT required per crafting slot
• Op level needed for the command (default 2)
• Strike delay in ticks between the command and the fire

On Fabric there is a Mod Menu screen for the config. On NeoForge the config is a toml file in config/orbitalstrike-common.toml and you can do /reload on NeoForge to make the updates go into effect.

Supported versions

Fabric and NeoForge, MC 1.21 through 26.2 on Fabric, (up to 26.1.2 on NeoForge). Both loaders build for the same version range where the loader is available.

Open an issue on the linked GitHub repo. Include your MC version, loader, and how to reproduce. OR I'll most likely check curseforge comments so go over there if theres a big issue.
