Simple Loot Bag adds a small chance for hostile mobs to drop a loot bag.
Open it to get a handful of useful survival items - sticks, string, food, ores, and the occasional rare treat. It’s a low-friction way to spice up mob drops without changing core gameplay.

Features

Player-kill drops: Bags drop from hostile (MONSTER) mobs on player kills only, keeping farms balanced.
Weighted loot pool: Survival staples most of the time, with a small chance of rarities (e.g., enchanted book).
Clean UX: The bag opens as a compact 3×3 container and disappears automatically once emptied (no backpack abuse).
Configurable: External config at config/betterloot.json
- bagDropChance - number 0.0…1.0 (0.2 = 20%, 1.0 = 100%)
- excludeEntities - list of mob IDs to opt out (e.g. "minecraft:endermite", "modid:entity")
Modpack-friendly: Works with all hostile (MONSTER) mobs, including ones from other mods. Exclude specifics via config - no patches required.
Lightweight: No worldgen, no new ores, minimal footprint.
