Stop guessing what your items do.
Insight is a small, lightweight, client-side tooltip upgrade. Hover over an item and you can finally see what it does, with no wiki tab needed.
Requires V1ERZ Framework (installs automatically with the CurseForge app).
Features
- Enchantment descriptions: hold Shift on any enchanted item or book to see what every enchantment does. Curses are highlighted in red. All vanilla enchantments are covered, including the 1.21 mace enchantments.
- Exact durability: see how many uses are left and the percentage, coloured from green to red.
- Food values: hunger and saturation on every food.
- Fuel time: how long an item burns and how many items it smelts.
- Stack size: shown on items that don't stack to 64.
- Mod-friendly: other mods and resource packs can add their own enchantment descriptions with the key
enchantment.<namespace>.<name>.desc. - Tiny and safe: client-side only, no mixins, no server install needed.

Compatibility
- Minecraft 1.21.1, Fabric
- Requires Fabric API and V1ERZ Framework
- Client-side only: works in singleplayer and on servers, and doesn't need to be installed on the server
FAQ
Does it work on servers? Yes. It only changes what your own game shows.
Does it work with modded enchantments?
Yes. A modded enchantment shows a description if its mod or a resource pack provides the .desc language key.
Will it clash with other tooltip mods? It only adds lines to the end of the tooltip, so it plays nicely with other tooltip mods.
Why don't I see durability with F3+H on? Advanced tooltips already show durability, so Insight hides its own line to avoid duplicates.
Can I turn parts off?
Yes. Every line can be toggled with /v1 insight.
