You can also change the color of its shulker shell by applying any color dye in Minecraft as a cosmetic. 

Shulker Shell Fortress can spawn in the End as a rare spawn, uncommon in End cities, or by having a level 31 Pineco hold a shulker shell while evolving.

The shulker variant has a chance to drop shulker shells when defeated.
