ShuffleCraft
ShuffleCraft is for survival runs where you want to figure things out again. A recipe you’ve made a hundred times might give you something completely different, and a mob might drop the item you were trying to craft.
Recipes are shuffled by seed, so once you find a recipe, you can use it again. If two recipes used to make the same item, they’ll both make the same shuffled item. Starter recipes like planks, sticks, and crafting tables are protected by default so you can still get going.
Regular mobs drop randomized items that have a recipe. Bosses have an 8% chance to drop an extra reward you can’t craft, like an elytra or a totem.
Filling a bucket has a 3% chance to give you a different liquid. Breaking a ripe crop has a 5% chance to swap one drop, and breaking a single layer of snow has a 2% chance to swap its drop.
Versions and settings
ShuffleCraft is available for Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge and Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. Put the matching file in your mods folder. For multiplayer, install it on the server and each client.
You can change the seed, adjust the odds, or protect specific recipes in config/shufflecraft.json. Compatible modded recipes and items join the shuffle automatically. Some custom machines and loot systems need their own integration.
