Description
Shields...that exist!
This mod adds 2 new shield types, each with unique properties and 5 variants following minecraft material progression (wood-netherite), 3 normal shields for those just wanting something slightly different from the normal shield, and 9 unique shields with their own effects, totaling 22 shields in total. In addition, this mod adds 7 enchantments; 3 for each shield type and 1 universal shield enchantment. It also adds consumable lava and ice bottles, if you want that.
The two shield types are Bucklers and Greatshields.
Bucklers - Can parry, but have low durability
Greatshields - High durability and briefly stuns enemies, but slow the user down
It's worth noting that the golden variations of the shield types have the same durability as iron, but have an additional effect; Golden Bucklers have an increased parry window, while Golden Greatshields don't slow the user down.
Some of the unique shields you can get include the Slime Shield, which, depending on how you hold it, can send either you or enemies flying, and Eternal Damnation, which burns anything foolish enough to exist around the user.
The enchantments include:
- Intuition (bucklers) - Increases parry window.
- Attraction (bucklers) - Pulls ranged attackers towards the user on successful parry.
- Counter (bucklers) - Increases strength gain and slows attackers on successful parry.
- Breaker (greatshields) - Damages melee attackers and applies weakness to shield breaking attackers.
- Immutable Defense (greatshields) - Grants a small amount of armor, armor toughness, and knockback resistance to the user.
- Revitalize (greatshields) - Heals the user upon blocking.
- Blocker's Revenge (universal) - Applies Hunter's Mark to the attacker. If the attacker is killed within 10 seconds, the user will have some of their health restored. Has a 15 second cooldown.
All shields are craftable except for Eternal Damnation, which can be found in Bastion treasure chests, Kiritori, which can be found in Nether Bridge chests, and Disposition, which can be found in End City chests.
