This mod adds 1 ore, 1 structure, 3 new potions, 6 new potion recipes, 1 new special helmet, 2 new consumables, 2 new special blocks, 1 new special weapon, and 2 new special hostile mobs! All of which ruby based.
There is the shiny Ruby! A gem found in grassy biomes (Including Cherry Blossom) that is both pretty, and pretty rare, all of the rubies blocks emmit some light due to how shiny they are.
The Ruby doesn't have any normal equipment, but you can brew potions, make a crown, or make a special apple with them!
The potions you can brew are:
- Health Boost potions: Make your max health grow in size with an elixer crafted with a potion of regeneration, and some ruby dust!
- Supremacy potions: By brewing ruby dust with a potion of strength you can be strong, fast, and tougher with just one of these potions! (Side effects include the better version costing a golden apple)
- Shining potions: Give yourself a break from mob grinding and knock back a shining potion! These potions make you passively gain EXP at a somewhat rapid rate! Alongside having great healing. You do need to brew them with a healing II potion however...
- Also, with the shining potions, you can shortcut with the recipe by just brewing water with Ruby Dust to make a healing II potion
Now, onto the red malicious little face you've seen all over this mod (Including on the screenshot above), that right there is the Ruby Apple! Which gives the Shining passive EXP gain effect for 30 minutes when eaten!
There is also a Peculiar(Enchanted) version found in the new Gem Cache structure. It gives instant levels... At a price >:)
Also within the Gem Caches you can find the Ruby Smithing Template. This smithing template can be used with a ruby and an iron sword to make a weapon called the Ruby Striker!
Now, if you're feeling like your style is more on the extravagant side when it comes to rubies, Then The Crown is for you!
The Crown gives the Regal effect while wearing it, which is pretty much just super slow shining, though even the crown has its limits, every time the 10 second timer on Regal runs out, it resets, and the Crown loses 1 durability.
The crown can be repaired with rubies or gold, and also has its own exclusive enchantments including, Wealth! Wealth gives constant hero of the village I, reducing trade prices because you wear a shinier ruby on your head than the other local king-cosplayers; Rejuvination! Rejuvination gives great healing and regen every time you level up, healing scales based on level. Regen doesn't apply until level II of the enchantment; and Retaliation! Retaliation shoots ruby shards in EVERY direction when you are hit; amount scales based on level.
There are also new monsters Muahaha >:)
Behold the Scraper! A shiny ruby Creeper that explodes with shrapnel alongside gunpowder! Your shield will thank you if you don't use it, and it will be thoroughly shredded if you do use it.
If you'd rather be shrapnel'd without an explosion for whatever reason. Then you'd want to pick a fight with the Shattered! The shattered will aim their arm canon at you before fireing high speed ruby shrapnel at you! And if you let them fight long enough they may throw a shrapnel bomb at you!
You can make this monsters bombs at home! (In Minecraft that is.) With Iron Nuggets, a Ruby, Gunpowder, and a piece of String, you can craft the Shatterer! A frag grenade, and pretty much nothing else.
However, if you use gold nuggets rather than iron, you create the Scatterer! The scatterer has less damage and projectiles, but it has increased knockback and range!
If you want to tap into the more luminous side of this gemstone, then the Ruby Lamp is for you! It is quite expensive however, but it's worth it for a cool light right?
