Curse Maven Snippet
New Features
- Shadow Decoy System: The core logic of the enchantment has been completely rewritten. Instead of just invisibility, you now summon a magical clone of yourself when sneaking.
- Full Visual Sync: The Decoy now copies your Skin, Armor (including trims/enchantment glint), and held Items (Mainhand/Offhand) for a 1:1 match.
- Combat AI: Decoys are no longer static! They will now actively target and attack nearby mobs using your weapon's stats and enchantments.
- Status Effect Inheritance: Decoys now copy your active potion effects (Strength, Speed, etc.), making them behave exactly like you.
AI & Technical Improvements
- Advanced Aggro Stealing: Implemented a new "Taunt" system that forces Piglins, Brutes, Endermen, and even the Warden to focus on the Decoy.
- Minecraft 1.21.4 Compatibility: Fully updated the rendering system to the new
ArmorModelSetandRenderStatestandards. - Memory Injection: Added custom AI logic to override mob memory modules (
ANGRY_AT,ATTACK_TARGET), ensuring 100% stealth for the player.
Balancing & Bug Fixes
- Anti-Dupe Protection: Decoys now have a 0% drop chance for all equipment slots to prevent item duplication.
- Totem Disabling: Decoys will no longer "pop" Totems of Undying, keeping the focus on pure illusion.
- Cooldown Logic: Refined the activation code so a new Decoy/Invisibility cannot be triggered until the previous one expires.
- Self-Harm Fix: Fixed a bug where the Decoy would occasionally try to attack itself.
- Invisibility Filter: Ensured the Decoy does not inherit the player's Invisibility effect, so it remains a visible target for mobs.
Note for Players
This update changes the fundamental behavior of the Shadowstep enchantment. It is now much more tactical and powerful in combat situations. Feedback on the new Decoy AI is highly appreciated!
