Create: Mechanical Workshop is an automation and logistics addon designed to extend the engineering capabilities of the Create mod. It introduces kinetic-driven programmatic assembly, wireless factory telemetry, remote storage indexing, and modular batch manufacturing.
All systems are built around rotational kinetic stress, fully compatible with Create's Ponder system, and integrate seamlessly into existing automated production lines.

- Storage Interfacing: Directly interfaces with Item Vaults, Chests, Barrels, and Storage Drawers.
- Real-time Inventory Tracking: Queries and indexes storage contents without requiring complex hopper arrays or mechanical arms.
- Remote Extraction: Wirelessly routes indexed ingredients directly to linked Kinetic Assemblers and Delivery Bays.

- Central Command: A dedicated user terminal for requesting automated batch orders on demand.
- Batch Controls: Preconfigured multipliers (x1, x10, x64) with live queue progress tracking.
- Isolated Extraction Tray: Finished products are delivered into an isolated 2x2 extraction bay, preventing hopper contention and logistical deadlocks.

🛠️ Developer & Modpack Maker Documentation
Create: Mechanical Workshop is built with modpack integration at its core. Custom assembly lines, matrix recipes, stress impacts, and energy requirements can be configured via standard Datapacks, KubeJS, or Java API.
📜 Recipe Type: create_mechanical_workshop:assembling
The Kinetic Assembler supports two recipe formats:
- Shaped (Pattern & Key): Allows standard 3x3 grids as well as extended matrix layouts (e.g., 5x5, 7x7).
- Shapeless (Ingredients List): Compact list of item requirements for batch manufacturing.
Recipe Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
type |

☕ KubeJS Integration (1.20.1)
Modpack creators can add and remove workshop recipes in kubejs/server_scripts/mechanical_workshop.js using event.custom:
(JavaScript)
ServerEvents.recipes(event => {
// 1. Shaped Assembly Recipe
event.custom({
type: 'create_mechanical_workshop:assembling',
pattern: [
'ABA',
'CDC',
'ABA'
],
key: {
A: { item: 'create:brass_sheet' },
B: { item: 'create:electron_tube' },
C: { tag: 'forge:gears/iron' },
D: { item: 'create:precision_mechanism' }
},
result: {
item: 'create_mechanical_workshop:hardware_drive_tier_2',
count: 1
},
processing_time: 120,
stress_cost: 16.0,
energy_cost: 2000
}).id('modpack:hardware_drive_tier_2_assembly');
// 2. Shapeless Fast Conversion
event.custom({
type: 'create_mechanical_workshop:assembling',
ingredients: [
{ item: 'create_mechanical_workshop:blank_punchcard' },
{ item: 'minecraft:amethyst_shard' }
],
result: {
item: 'create_mechanical_workshop:encoded_punchcard',
count: 1
},
processing_time: 30,
stress_cost: 4.0
}).id('modpack:quick_card_imprint');
// 3. Remove native recipe
event.remove({ id: 'create_mechanical_workshop:assembling/default_recipe' });
});

💻 Gradle & Maven Dependency (Java API)
To develop an addon or integrate directly with the mod's classes, add the dependency to your build.gradle:
(Groovy)
repositories {
maven {
name = "CurseMaven"
url = "https://cursemaven.com"
content {
includeGroup "curse.maven"
}
}
}
dependencies {
// Replace <project-id> and <file-id> with CurseForge project identifiers
implementation fg.deobf("curse.maven:create-mechanical-workshop-<project-id>:<file-id>")
}
