Patch Notes - 1.20.25

Content:

• Added the tome Focus entity. When a focus is equiped it flies out and becomes an animated book that floats alongside you.
• Spells quick cast from a focus now launch from the focus itself instead of from you.
• Added the Sword Rock, a stone slotted for one specific blade.
• Added Curse of the Lost Seal, a new curse enchantment.

Balance & Changes:

• Tome Focus: the companion now floats a bit lower.
• Wolfsbane is a little more common now.
• Reworked Ember Lotus: it now grows in the Nether, rooted on netherrack right next to lava, instead of floating on lava pools in the Overworld.

Bug fixes:

• Fixed focus quick casts being able to switch to a different spell partway through the cast animation, letting a slower spell's cast time be skipped by swapping to a cheaper one right before it finished.

Removed:

• Removed the Nether Gateway circle mode and its spell. Its portal-frame search was a major server lag source, running an expensive scan on every active circle every second whether or not a valid portal was ever found.
