SG Craft provides some technology based loosely on the television show Stargate SG-1.
Stargates allow instant travel over long distances or between dimensions. They may be used on their own, or optionally powered by IC2 or Thermal Expansion energy and controlled by computers from Computercraft or Open Computers.

It's more update, and as far as I know still actively being worked on. I remember there even being a discord for it.

what is the maximum distance between the portals? I tried to install at> x5,000,000 and I get "targetOutOfRange".
How do I build a stargate?
This mod hasn't been updated in almost three years, but I wanted to put out some wishlist features. Maybe someone else will take over or fork/create a new version...
Add a config option to list dimension IDs where a single Stargate will be randomly spawned. The addresses of these gates are stored and later used to create Ancient Address Tablet items in loot tables and/or villager trades. Then add a M.A.L.P. that can be sent through the gate. (Doesn't have to be a visible entity that moves. The item could be right-clicked on an open gate to start the process as a one-time-use deal.) Once the M.A.L.P has gone through (the dimension is loaded/generated on the other side) the M.A.L.P.'s remote can be activated to put the player's viewpoint on the other side of the gate, with HUD elements describing climate and air data.
The quick-and-dirty version of this would just be to have the M.A.L.P. remote object give text data and skip the "camera" view and actual M.A.L.P. object.
This addition would let the Stargates be used similar to the way they were used in Stargate SG-1, with the players exploring new addresses. Compatibility should be provided for Galacticraft and Advanced Rocketry planets (particularly the absence of atmosphere), but any mod's dimensions should be configurable as well.
adding a naquada generator and maybe naquadria would be a really nice addition

when is this mod going to be come a 1.12.2 mid as i would love to add it to my modpack as i had so much fun on it when it was in 1.7.10

Not sure how much work you're wanting to put into developing this mod, but it would be neat if you could add the teleport rings.

You cant make the RF stargate power unit because thermal dose not have a way to make Hardened cells.
