SEROKA UPDATE: PATCH NOTES

Factions & World

Chimera Blessing Security: During the Chimera faction's roulette animation, the player and nearby monsters are now completely invulnerable. Spawn killing during class selection has been permanently eliminated.

Dimensional Preview (In Development): Implementation of the Mega Geyser structure. These oceanic anomalies will serve as propulsion portals to the future celestial dimension: the Sea of Kármán.

Naval Physics & Destruction

Vertical Collisions and Inverted Ramming: Collisions along the Y-axis (falling onto a bridge or rising under a keel) now inflict structural damage proportional to the force of the impact.

Archimedes' Principle: A ship rising from the depths (up to 2.6 blocks/tick below the surface) now retains its momentum. It can leap out of the water and violently ram an enemy ship from below.

Hull Health and Cracks: Ships have hit points per block. Impacts (cannonballs, axes, swords) visually crack wood and iron (wood breaks faster) before creating a breach.

Repair Mechanics: Using a hammer first closes the visible cracks, then rebuilds the gaping holes in the hull.

Towing & Mooring

New Naval Equipment: Added the Mooring Ring (4 iron ingots = 2 rings), the Rope (4 strands = strength 15 for light ships), and the Coiled Chain (4 chains = strength 150 for heavy ships).

Towing System: Link two rings (up to 32 blocks apart) to tow a ship. Physics distributes the force and slows the towing ship.

Tension and Breakage: If the pulling force exceeds 60% of the mooring line's strength, the crew receives the alert "Rope is pulling!" At 100%, the link breaks and the mooring line is lost. If a ring is destroyed or a ship sinks, the mooring line falls intact as an item.

Shore Anchoring: Placing a ring on land allows you to moor a ship to counteract its natural drift.

Shipboard Electronics & Utilities

Instant Redstone: Levers, buttons, torches, powders, and repeaters function on a newly assembled ship without the delays of the base game. They can control doors, hatches, gates, copper bulbs, and music blocks.

Functional Still: The still distills at sea, retains its ingredients, and its interface opens normally. Note: On ships built before this patch, the contents of old stills have been emptied into the cargo hold.

Bells and Music Blocks: The bell rings visually, is activated by redstone, alerts villagers, and makes raiders glow even while moving. The music block plays its notes correctly.

Self-Powered Lighting: Light blocks and lit lamps glow with their own light at night (without illuminating adjacent blocks).

Intended technical limitations: Comparators, observers, pistons, hoppers, dispensers, and TNT remain inert on board ships.

Quality of Life & Fixes

Rod Camera (C Key): Once at the helm, pressing C zooms the camera out to a third-person perspective. The scroll wheel allows you to zoom from 3 to 64 blocks (indicated by an on-screen message).

Key conflict resolved: The C key (Frontier Roll) and the scroll wheel (Item Swap) now resume their normal functions the millisecond you leave the helm.

Balcony sterilization: Monsters (drowned, squid, pufferfish) can no longer spawn in the bilge, or within one block of the hull. An automatic cleanup removes unwanted aquatic creatures trapped inside every 5 seconds (does not affect pets, eggs, or leashed animals).

Fixed Sleep: Lying down in a bed aboard a moving ship no longer teleports the player back to their starting point. The sailor remains physically in their bunk during the voyage.
