Alpha 1.0.1
- IMPORTANT: All Road blocks and variants of Road have been removed. It was a hard choice to make, but after struggling to make it balanced and more appealing, I figured at this point it would just be better to remove it. Apologies if this causes any inconvenience.
- Added a third blockset for Milled Timber: Milled Screen Blocks.
- Added the first of possibly many decorative (and potentially valuable) plants: Crackgrass Crackgrass is special in that it is extremely hardy. It can be placed on almost any flat surface. Great for making more natural or overgrown builds. NOTE: Crackgrass does NOT generate naturally yet.
- Fixed an issue where breaking Worktables caused immense lag spikes.
- Implemented blockstate addition and drops based on blockstate algorithms (you won't notice much change in the mod at the moment because of these, just know that these algorithms are going to be HEAVILY used in the future).
- Rust Dust has been renamed to Rust Powder.
- Rust Powder now has additive states. This means you can right click an existing rust block with Rust Powder in your main hand, and the rust will become even rustier. For Rust Powder specifically, there are three states of rusting. In the off chance you're in survival mode, breaking a stacked rust block will yield the exact amount of powder put into it. (And yes, this is very heavily inspired by the way stackable books work in Supplementaries).
- Completely reworked texture for Grassglass to make it more colorful and appealing. Functionality for Grassglass will come in the future.
- Grassglass no longer uses the foliage tint to dictate it's color.
- Added another new plant: the Sago Palm. These small palms act similarly to Bamboo, except that they don't grow nearly as tall. They can be bonemealed or can be grown naturally. They make for especially nice indoor plants. NOTE: Sago Palms do NOT generate naturally yet.
- Added Hardy Plants tag for plants such as Crackgrass and Sago Palms. As mentioned before, Hardy Plants are considered plants that can be placed on more types of blocks than other plants.
- Also added the hardy_plants_cannot_grow_on tag to specify blocks hardy plants can't grow on.
- Retextured Remote to look more detailed.
- Added GUI item texture for Remote.
- Added GUI item texture for Typewriter
- Reworked Conservation Table: when right clicked by a player, the player will be given 60 ticks of Weakness. Anything that is tagged as minecraft:fire within a 10 block radius of the table will be extinguished. Lava (flowing or still) will be solidified into magma. The Weakness effect is a placeholder. A special effect will be given to the player in the future.
- Heavily nerfed Altar: the radius the Altar heals is now 10 blocks (significantly smaller than before). This is simply because of performance reasons.
- Ancient Texts (Scriptures, Grimoires, Doctrines, Creeds) can now be placed on chiseled bookshelves.
- Added Deathmetal, Scrapmetal, and Punkmetal Gates. Even more gates will be available in the future.
- Added the Cement blockset and Cement Bricks blockset, each blockset including a base block, a wall, stairs, and slabs. Also added Chiseled Cement Bricks that look and act like a pile of cinder blocks.
- Added Liquid Cement. Liquid Cement will harden over time into normal Cement unless the block below it is under the "prevents_solidification" tag (for now, there are only two blocks that prevent solidification: Slime Blocks, and Honey Blocks.
- Fixed very obnoxious lighting glitch on most custom models (set ambient occlusion on said custom models to false and adjusted bounding boxes). Most notably, the Worktable, Generator, Winch, and Con Table no longer have extremely dark shadows on one side when next to solid blocks.
- Completely remade Sink: now has a new custom model that can be placed on top of blocks. Also has a second variant that has a built in mirror behind it (and will even drop appropriate items in Survival).
- Winch now has 4 variants: empty (default), lashed, chained, and strapped. You can right click on a winch with a Lashing, Chain, or Strap in your main hand. This will change the appearance of the winch to look like it's rolled up. It will also drop its appropriate drops in Survival.
- Removed the alternate model for the Worktable.
- Updated Curseforge page and mod logo. Now it's very nice and shiny!
- Fixed bounding boxes on Pink Doodad (it no longer acts like a ghost).
- Updated the images section on Curseforge to better demonstrate the contents of OPD.
- Optimized bounding boxes on all Doodads.
- Optimized bounding boxes on all Containers.
- Added Display Base Block (works very well with Vendor blocks and the Display Case).
- Retextured Display Case.
Also, regarding the removal of features from the mod:
Be aware that even if I do completely remove something from OPD, at the very least, the textures for the removed content will still exist (I have at least one backup of every texture on the machine I built the mod with). SO, if in the event I remove something that you actually really enjoyed, let me know. If I get enough feedback on something I removed being enjoyable, I will either rebuild the original content, or replace it with something very similar and equally as functional. I have absolutely no issue with doing that.
