What's new

Added

Pre-generate an area from the map. Hold Shift and drag a rectangle over the part of the world you want ready. When you make the world, Seedscape builds that area in the background while you play. No waiting on a loading bar, and no chunks popping in when you fly out there later.

You can see the cost before you commit. The chunk count updates live as you drag, so you size the box against a real number instead of finding out afterwards. Shift-click clears it again.

It stays out of your way while it works. Generation runs at a deliberately gentle pace and keeps most of every tick free for the game, so the world stays playable the whole time. Progress shows up in chat as it goes.

Four more Minecraft versions. 1.20.6, 1.21, 1.21.5 and 1.21.8 join the six that were already supported.

Fixed

Seedscape can no longer stop your game from starting. If another mod changes the world creation screen in a way Seedscape doesn't recognise, it now steps aside quietly instead of crashing on the way to the menu.

Seedscape can no longer take down the world creation screen. If something goes wrong inside the preview, the preview switches itself off for that session and everything else on the screen — including every other mod's tab — keeps working.

World types it can't read now say so. Some custom terrain generators can't be previewed. Instead of drawing a flat single-colour map that looked real, it tells you.

Servers no longer show up as incompatible. Seedscape is client-side and never needed to be on the server.

The preview no longer slows down the rest of the game. It used to borrow the same pool of background threads Minecraft and other mods rely on. It runs on its own now, at the same speed.
