Second Death : Soul Break provides the perfect balanced solution!

When you die for the first time, your soul is spared. You will not lose your items or XP, but you will respawn with a curse known as the Soul Break effect. Beware... if you die again while the Soul Break effect is active, your soul will shatter! Your items will drop normally (or into your gravestone), and a time penalty will be added to your curse duration.

⚙️ Configuration (soulbreak-common.toml): Highly customizable to fit any modpack's difficulty:

⚙️ Max Stack Time: Maximum duration the effect can reach.

⚙️ Penalty Time: How much time is added to the curse upon repeated deaths.

⚙️ Save Item: Toggle whether items are saved on the first death.

⚙️ Save Xp: Toggle whether XP is saved on the first death.
