Scott's Tweaks adds several of my favorite gameplay tweaks to the game.
- Live chickens drop feathers as they go about their lives.
- Growables (saplings, etc.) plant themselves if possible.
- Clay generates in the overworld (not just in lake bottoms).
- Squid and bat spawning can be reduced or disabled.
- Endermen drop the blocks they are carrying when they die.
Each of these features can be configured or disabled separately.
Requires Kore Sample.

Was excited to acquire the mod only for it to be less than the 1.9.4 ver. When it's at 1.9.4, I'll be downloading it immediately, and thus know I greatly appreciate it when that version is available.
I am no longer making minecraft mods--however, the source code for these is in the public domain and can be updated and released by anyone.
Hopefully, someone takes up the torch. Thanks for responding.
Can I ask you your stance on mod packs and whether you have an open policy or ?
Hmm, can these be enabled/disabled on a per-feature basis? On a per-growable basis?
I've got a mod that plants vanilla saplings (all 6 types) with a different percentage chance for each (example: jungle saplings, because they are fewer than others, are more likely to plant; spruce, because of their large number, will plant less often), and tweaks (all trees that can make 2x2's will try to force a 2x2 placement; dark oaks, since they ONLY grow 2x2, will refuse to plant where a 2x2 cannot form, but will move slightly if possible). EBXL has (or at least did, last time I checked) auto-plant behavior for its trees with tree-specific probability. (So, that's everything but twilight forest trees ...).
Endermen dropping blocks, chickens, etc -- good things.
Each feature can be toggled, but the mod does not distinguish between "growables".
