Schorl

Schorl adds a rare deepslate crystal ore with iron-tier tools and armor, plus a unique status effect called Corruption.

Features

• Deepslate Schorl Ore — generates deep underground in deepslate layers
• Schorl gem, block, full tool set, and full armor set (iron-tier stats)
• Corruption (3 seconds on hit): peaceful mobs turn aggressive toward you; hostile mobs prefer attacking other creatures instead of you
• Ore aura: idle hostiles gather near the ore; nearby hostiles gain a mild combat buff
• Schorl block: hostiles prefer hanging around the block when idle
• Full armor set: hostiles notice you from farther away
• Potions and tipped arrows of Corruption (vanilla-style brewing)

Brewing

1. Awkward Potion + Schorl → Potion of Corruption
2. Redstone → longer duration
3. Gunpowder → splash
4. Dragon’s Breath → lingering
5. Lingering + arrows → tipped arrows

Balance

Slightly above medium difficulty. Power comes from control (Corruption), not diamond-level damage. Tools and armor match iron stats with a small durability bonus.
