Schemes & Assassins - Secret Orders & Societies

A toolkit for the quiet kind of power. Run a secret order, recruit and rank its members, and move through a server unseen: erase your name, wear another face, poison a cup, and let the blame fall on someone else. Built for medieval roleplay servers and political intrigue.

Two principles run through everything:

CONDITIONAL ANONYMITY
The Hood erases who you are, but only on its terms. While you wear it, and no other armour, your name reads as "a hooded figure" and your kills go unattributed. The price is protection: the Hood defends nothing, and the moment you put on real armour the anonymity drops. And it is never absolute. Anyone who studies you, holding their gaze, slowly recognises you; a steady stare peels back the dark. While you are disguised and someone is watching, a suspicion meter warns you how close you are to being made, and it falls away the instant you break their line of sight, so you can slip back into the shadows.

MUNDANE DISGUISE
Every tool looks ordinary. A poison vial looks like a plain potion; a concealed blade looks like a sword that stays hidden in your hand until it strikes; a cache looks like any block you choose. Glance at an agent's belt and you see nothing of note; the truth shows only in your own hand, in the tooltip.

THE TOOLKIT
- The Hood: conditional anonymity, with a held-stare recognition system and a suspicion warning for the wearer.
- Poison: lace food and drink with a vial, for a delayed, mysterious death that names no cause.
- Concealed Blade: invisible in the hand until it lands a hit, then briefly bared; deadliest from ambush.
- Wax Impression: press it to a player to take their likeness, no blood needed, feeding the disguises below.
- Visage: wear another player's face entirely, their skin and even their name, until someone stares you down.
- Forged Signet: activate it to wear a chosen player's name for a few minutes, so your crimes are blamed on them.
- Cache: a hidden stash disguised as any block you give it, with order-only access and a note that burns once read.
- Saboteur's Charge: a breaching explosive for the direct approach.

THE ORDER
- Oathstone: found and run your order. Name your ranks, recruit and kick members, promote and demote, and delegate recruiting to the ranks you trust.
- Bulletin Board: an in-game notice board for briefing the members you keep off Discord. Post rank-gated missions (target a single rank to flush out a leak), and pin an image decree by dragging a picture straight onto the board.

Server-friendly and fully server-authoritative: every action is validated on the server. Configurable in the mod config.
