SCC: Calculated Foundry 1.0.0
Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge 21.1+ · requires SCC – Super Cool Calculator 1.5.3+ and Hephaestus Forge · Hephaestus Tools optional
First release. An add-on for SCC that connects Hephaestus Forge and Hephaestus Tools to your SCC network – no new materials, no new progression, pure integration.
Features
- No extra Processing Calculator needed – the Foundry and Casting Calculators have a Processing Calculator built in. Place them against the Hephaestus machine, connect a cable, done.
- Foundry Calculator – placed against a Melter or a Smeltery part (controller, drain or chute). Feeds ores and metals from the network, keeps the fuel tanks about three quarters full with fuel from the network and sends the molten metal straight into SCC storage. With a Smeltery it uses every fuel tank in the walls and every free slot inside. A hologram above it shows what is melting around a glowing core of the latest metal.
- Furnace window – right-click the Foundry Calculator: the molten metal stored in your network in glowing layers (blocks, ingots and nuggets on hover), a thermometer with the Hephaestus temperature marks, the fuel state and what is melting right now.
- Alloys through the planner – Hephaestus alloys (bronze, brass, constantan ...) are orderable like anything else: the network pours the ingredients into the Smeltery, waits for the alloy and takes it back.
- Casting Calculator – serves a Casting Table or Casting Basin: ingots, nuggets, gears, plates, tool parts and blocks for SCC orders. The cast goes onto the table, a glowing arc of molten metal pours over the rim, Hephaestus cools it as usual, the part comes back and the cast returns to the calculator. Several parts from the same metal (handle and binding both need one ingot) are always cast exactly as ordered.
- Tool Station Calculator (with Hephaestus Tools) – placed against an Arsenal Table. Assembles tools to order as soon as all parts are in the network: the parts rise, circle, fuse in a burst of sparks and the finished tool rises from the core into your storage.
- Tool Designer in the SCC terminal (with Hephaestus Tools) – a new anvil entry in the terminal bar. Pick a tool, a part and a material from tiles that show the actual part in every material; the stats (durability, mining speed, attack damage, attack speed, enchantability, mining tier, traits) update live, with green and red changes while you hover. Shift-click uses a material for every part, dots show which parts are in stock or castable. Build sends the job to the least busy Tool Station Calculator and orders the missing parts.
- Upgrades in the Tool Designer (with Hephaestus Tools) – an Upgrades tab next to the materials: Reinforced, Haste, Fortune, Sharpness, Looting, Silk Touch, Flame and Sweeping, depending on the tool. Pick the levels and the new tool comes out of the Tool Station already upgraded.
- Upgrade mode – pick a finished Hephaestus tool from the network or your inventory and choose the levels it should reach. It goes to the Tool Station Calculator, the cost items orbit and fuse with it, and it comes back upgraded – into your inventory if it came from there.
- SCC does the math – every upgrade row shows its cost (green: in stock, blue: the network can make it, red: missing), the footer adds everything up and the tooltip shows up to which level your stock reaches. Missing diamonds, emeralds or redstone blocks are ordered through the SCC planner. Same cost per level, maximum levels and slot rules as the Arsenal Table – up to five different upgrades per tool; Silk Touch still does not go with Fortune or Looting.
- Saved designs – the pin next to Build remembers the tool you set up, materials and upgrades included. Under Designs on the left a click loads it again, Shift-click builds it right away, and a dot shows whether everything is in stock. Designs belong to you, not to the world, so they work in every world and on servers.
- Casts to order – the planner makes missing casts itself: a tool part of any material (wooden ones are enough) plus molten copper on the table.
- Melting and casting take time – with SCC 1.5.4 the planner counts the time and the molten metal; ingots come from the furnace and blocks from the crafting grid when that is cheaper, the smeltery is used where it really helps (ore doubling, alloys, tool parts).
- Tool Station queue – it always starts the first order that is complete, so one expensive order (Fortune IX: 1500 diamonds and a Nether Star) no longer holds up the rest. Right-click the Tool Station Calculator to see the waiting orders and what each one still needs; shift + right-click cancels them.
- Works with the new Hephaestus Tools 1.0.10 (upgrade levels up to X with their special costs, slots unlocked by tool experience) and still with older versions.
- Switch "Cast metal for the network" in the Foundry Calculator window - off: the forge is only used for tool parts and casts, ingots, nuggets and blocks come from furnace and crafting grid (faster than melting and casting). Applies to the whole network.
- SCC planner integration – Hephaestus melting, casting (table and basin) and alloying recipes are read for the SCC planner; Hephaestus' own JEI categories are taken over by the calculators.
- Forge look – seared-brick headers with flowing molten channels, glowing bars and a hammer strike on the designer's stage; the three blocks match the SCC calculators with forge-glow accents and animated fronts. Light textures for SCC's light designs (F7).
- Handbook chapter in the SCC manual.
