Description

 Info

Merpig is a very simple mod that adds a water version of the pig. This mob will spawn randomly in the world in oceans and deep oceans. The mob can swim around in the water and be saddled as a mount. Using a 'seagrass on a stick' item the merpig can be steered around.

Why?

This mod was made at the request of Finemanederby. The idea was to create a water mount for the game. With 1.13 adding water creatures it was sad to hear they couldn't be ridden. To solve this the mod was created as a proof of concept in 1.12.

Current Features

  • Merpig - a water-based mob that spawns in the ocean and deep ocean
  • Seagrass on a stick - used to steer merpig

Planned Features

  • Settings for spawn rate
  • Settings for movement speed
  • Settings for AI
  • Tier 2 saddle to allow steering without items
  • Settings for supporting more items for steering

Single Block Mod

The Single Block Mod series is dedicated to creating a wide range of simple single purpose mods. Focusing for most on having one block/unit of content refined to offer as many options and choices as possible. This makes many of the mods in the series perfect for filling gaps in modpacks. Allowing pack developers to reduce the need to include larger mods to complete a feature list.
