Description
Saving chunks...
You load up what looks like plain old Minecraft Alpha. A new world, a quiet first day. Then you notice someone at the edge of your render distance, wearing your skin.
Saving Chunks is a story-driven horror mod in ten levels. Something has made a copy of you, and it is taking the rest of you, piece by piece: first your world, then your sounds, your habits, your name, your home, and finally your life.
What's inside
- A stalker in your own skin. It's you, a little wrong. It watches, follows, and learns.
- Ten handmade levels, each built around something it takes from you. None of them plays like the last.
- It uses what it learns. It records how you play: where you run, where you hide, how you answer. Later levels turn that against you.
- An old-game disguise. Alpha-style title screen, old loading screens, and a grainy low-colour film once you're taken.
- A journal that fills in with the places you visit and the things you meet.
- A final boss with two phases.
- Two endings. One of them is permanent (see below).
Please read before playing
- Singleplayer story. It's built for one player in their own world.
- It uses your skin and your username in-game: in chat, on the tab list, on the things that look like you.
- It changes your game while you're in it: the title screen, fog, lighting and screen effects. Everything goes back to normal when you leave its levels.
- The bad ending locks you out of that world for good, on purpose. To undo it, set
giveItBack = truein config/saving_chunks-common.toml and load the world again. - Flashing images, static and loud sudden sounds. Not recommended for photosensitive players.
- Play it in a new world you don't mind losing.
