Savaru's Affixology 2.1.11 (NeoForge 1.21.1)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Savaru's Affixology 3.2.0 / NeoForge 2.1.11
Three armour-slot mana affixes, a mana-cost rebalance, and the rune-economy affixes brought back to life for mana casters.
New affixes
| Affix | Slot | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Magic Blood | Helmet only | Below 40% health, being hit trades 20-50 mana every half second for 1-5% health regeneration, for 10 seconds. 120s cooldown. |
| Magic Explosion | Chestplate only | Below 50% health, being hit spends 75% of your mana to detonate, dealing true damage equal to 350% of the mana spent to everything hostile within 10 blocks. 300s cooldown. |
| Magic Skates | Boots only | Movement speed worth 0.5% of your maximum mana. |
Magic Blood's health return scales with the same roll as its mana drain, so a high roll is never a worse trade than a low one. All three need a mana provider and lie dormant without one.
Rebalanced
- Mana Cost now rolls 2-10% instead of 50-150%. The old range fed a multiplied-total modifier, so a high roll could erase a spell's cost outright.
- Mana Blade, Mana on Hit and Mana Burst are now checked inside the weapon-category test. They were weapon affixes already, but the on-hit half ran for any held item.
Rune Scholar and Rune Apprentice work again
Both affixes act on rune consumption — skipping it and refunding it. A mana-paid spell never touches a rune, so on a caster using a mana mod they did nothing at all. They now convert into a mana cost reduction of the same expected value: a 30% chance to refund is worth what paying 30% less every cast is worth. Scholar contributes a flat share, Apprentice contributes its roll, capped together at 60%.
Every mana affix description now names Savaru's Mana rather than RPG Mana.
