⚠️ This mod is in Beta
Mob Ragdoll is still being worked on. It runs, but expect rough edges: some mobs may ragdoll oddly, mobs using custom animation libraries (like GeckoLib) are not supported yet, and the config is still growing. Please back up your world before adding it to an existing server.
Found something broken? Tell me on Discord — bug reports during Beta are exactly what makes the 1.0 release solid.
Saro's Mob Ragdoll makes every mob collapse into a real Bullet-physics ragdoll the moment it dies. No more stiff, instant despawns — when a mob dies it flops, tumbles and settles with proper rigid-body physics, then fades away. Powered by a native Bullet engine (Libbulletjme), driven server-side and synced to everyone, so the whole server watches the same satisfying death.
Works out of the box on any mob that uses a normal model — vanilla and most modded mobs — without configuring a single one.

Saros Mob Ragdoll hooks into mob death and replaces the plain vanilla death with a physically simulated ragdoll built from the mob's own model and texture. Each body part becomes a rigid body, the parts are jointed together along the model's own skeleton, and the whole thing reacts to gravity, terrain, and the hit that killed it.
Real Physics On Death 💀
- Mobs crumple, roll down slopes, and pile up naturally.
Uses The Mob's Own Look 🌍
- No custom textures needed; a creeper looks like a creeper, a zombie like a zombie.
Generic By Design 🧩
- Reads the mob's model at runtime, so it works for almost every mob automatically.
Reacts To The Kill 💥
- The death blow and nearby explosions throw the ragdoll the right way.
Plays Nice With Saros Player Ragdoll 🔗
- Install both and they share one physics world (no double download of the engine), so players and mobs collide in the same simulation.

- Bullet-physics ragdoll for dying mobs (native Libbulletjme engine, bundled — nothing to install)
- Server-side simulation, synced to all players
- Automatic support for any standard-model mob (vanilla + modded)
- Death-direction and explosion knockback carried into the ragdoll
- Configurable: ragdoll lifetime, which mobs are affected, physics feel (smooth / floppy), on/off per mob category
- Standalone — works on its own; shares the physics core with Saros Player Ragdoll when both are installed
- Forge, NeoForge and Fabric

- Install Forge, NeoForge or Fabric for your Minecraft version.
- (Fabric only) also add Fabric API.
- Drop the Saros Mob Ragdoll
.jarinto yourmodsfolder. - Launch — done. Mobs start ragdolling on death immediately.
Already running Saros Player Ragdoll? Just add this one — they automatically share the physics engine, so nothing is downloaded or loaded twice.

(coming soon)

Does it work with modded mobs? Yes for any mob using a normal Minecraft model. Mobs rendered with custom animation libraries (e.g. GeckoLib) need a dedicated adapter — planned for a later update.
Will it hurt performance? Ragdolls are short-lived and capped, and the physics is a lightweight native engine. You can also lower the ragdoll lifetime or limit which mobs ragdoll in the config.
Does it work in multiplayer? Yes — the simulation runs on the server and is synced, so every player sees the exact same ragdoll.
Does it conflict with Saros Player Ragdoll? The opposite — they're built to work together. Both bundle the same physics core, the loader keeps only one copy, and players + mobs end up in the same physics world.
Can I turn it off for certain mobs? Yes, via the config (per mob or per category).
Why is it marked Beta? The core works, but not every mob type is covered yet (custom animation libraries like GeckoLib still need an adapter) and the config is still expanding. It's stable enough to play with, just not feature-complete. Bug reports on Discord are very welcome.
