This mod adds a block known as "Sand" which, unlike its counterpart "sand," will increase the growth rate for crops such as sugar cane, bamboo, and kelp.
Sand is so wonderful you don't even need to craft it - it automatically replaces all the boring old sand in your world with amazingly awesome Sand, and it's also integrated into all the vanilla and modded recipes that previously used sand.
Configuration Details:
#sand:soil tag, and the crops whose growth it affects are defined in the #sand:crop tag. The amount that growth is sped up by is controlled by the effectiveness value in the config file, with a value of 1.0 corresponding to a 100% speedup (i.e. double speed), a value of 0.5 corresponding to a 50% speedup, and so on.
