# π Safepaths v2.0.1 β Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge) We are thrilled to officially bring **Safepaths v2.0.1 to Minecraft 1.20.1 on Minecraft Forge**! This release brings full feature parity with our 1.21.1 NeoForge edition, featuring native Forge configuration, updated companion mod integration, and all the latest v2.0.1 mechanics and fixes. *** ### π New: Forge 1.20.1 Dedicated Features * π οΈ **Native 1.20.1 Forge Architecture** β Optimized for Forge 1.20.1 with Java 17 toolchains. * π₯οΈ **Dedicated In-Game Configuration Screen** β Added a native Forge options GUI accessible directly from the Mods list. Easily configure Required Footsteps, Path Construction Time Limits, Decay Timers, and Speed Multipliers in a clean, intuitive interface with full localization. * ποΈ **MineColonies & Mod Compatibility** β Synchronized with the latest 1.20.1 snapshots for _MineColonies_, _Structurize_, _Domum Ornamentum_, _BlockUI_, and _Multi-Piston_. Colony citizens, visitors, and mercenaries naturally compress roads across your settlement. * π **1.20.1 Modded Biome Support** β Out-of-the-box pre-configured road conversions for _Biomes O' Plenty_, _Regions Unexplored_, and _Oh The Biomes We've Gone_. *** ### π₯Ύ Path Collision & Surface Tracking Fixes (v2.0.1 Parity) * **Sub-Block Y-Offset Collision (`getOnPos`):** Fixed an issue where walking on non-full blocks (like `dirt_path` with its 15/16 height or sinking blocks like `mud`) checked the foundation block underneath instead of the path itself. * **Decay Lifetime Refresh:** Walking over existing dirt paths now reliably refreshes their lifetime on every step, ensuring heavily trafficked roads never unexpectedly decay back to grass under your feet. * **Sub-Surface Trampling Prevention:** Eliminated an issue where walking along established paths would unintentionally trample the dirt block _beneath_ the road into an invisible second path layer. ### β³ Chunk Unload Decay Preservation * **Persistent World Memory:** Paths in unloaded chunks are now preserved in dimension `SavedData` until reloaded, rather than being prematurely discarded. * **Natural Wilderness Restoration:** Abandoned roads in remote outposts or unvisited dimensions will now properly decay and revert to their natural ground block once you return to the area, rather than freezing into permanent dirt paths forever. ### β‘ Roadway Precedence & Safety Guards * **Explicit Conversion Override:** If both a self-mapping rule (e.g. `gravel -> gravel`) and an explicit conversion rule (e.g. `gravel -> dirt_path`) are declared, the explicit transformation cleanly takes precedence. * **Speed-Only Roadway Immunity:** Added an architectural guard ensuring self-mapped roadways (such as gravel, cobblestone, or stone bricks) are permanently immune to being converted into dirt paths through external mod interactions or edge-case calls. ### π¨ In-Game GUI Polish & International Usability * **International Decimal Input:** The master speed multiplier input now supports both period (`0.2`) and comma (`0,2`) decimal separators, eliminating silent input drops on international keyboard layouts (German, French, Turkish, Spanish, etc.). * **Direct Input Synchronization:** Clicking directly into either the source or target text box in the Conversions Screen automatically syncs that slot with the Block Palette, making block selection faster and more intuitive. ### π§ͺ Stability & Automated GameTests * **NBT Serialization Null-Safety:** Added fallback null-safety during dimension data serialization to safeguard world saves against corrupted or missing target block entries. * **Automated GameTest Suite:** Ported full in-engine automated GameTest suites (`safepaths:platform`) verifying path tags, farmland immunity, persistent memory, and self-mapped road recognition. *** ### π¦ Download & Installation * **Minecraft Version:** `1.20.1` * **Mod Loader:** `Forge 47.3.0+` (or compatible) * **File:** `safepaths-x.x.x-1.20.1-forge.jar`
