New
- Pruning: hitting a branch (instead of the trunk) just breaks it, and the loose part falls off.
- ROOTS!!!
- Stumps: cutting at the base leaves a stump that is hard to pull out (slow by hand, faster with an axe or pickaxe). Right-click with a shovel to dig out the roots.
- Chopping block: right-click a stump with an axe to level it. Put a log on top and strike it with the axe to split it into extra planks.
- Stumps rot or regrow: each stump's fate is decided when you cut the tree.
- Most stumps slowly darken and rot away into a mossy rotten stump that drops bone meal, mushrooms and sometimes a sapling. Rain speeds it up.
- Some regrow instead: a new tree grows right out of the stump. - Tall stumps: cutting higher up leaves a tall stump. It rots slower, the whole trunk darkens and thins as it decays, and it collapses when you break it from below.
- Fallen trees decay: felled trees slowly darken and thin, then decompose after 12 real hours, leaving only bone meal and the odd mushroom. This keeps physics objects from piling up. Use honeycomb on a fallen tree to wax it and keep it forever (scrape the wax off with an axe).
- Fix: Bee nests fall with the tree, and the bees come out angry at whoever cut it.
- New advancement: Bridging the Gap. Fell a tree across a gap and walk over it.
- The mod icon now shows in the in-game mod list.
### Changes and fixes
- Trunks no longer always snap right above the notch; heavy trunks now break closer to the middle.
- The 2x2 notch can be redone in a new direction before deepening (no more getting stuck).
- Fixed a missing "back cut" message.
- Tuned branch and trunk strength and impact damage.
